This here would be our Living Room aka "The Nascar Room" I let Duane use this room for his Nascar Collectibles. He has collected them for awhile now and so he's got alot of money invested in them. He spends alot of time in there watching t.v., so why not enjoy your collection. I actually like how it looks and like that he finally has someplace to enjoy them. At our old home, it was in the bedroom. He couldn't enjoy it and frankly, I hated looking at it when I was in bed. Someday our bedroom will be "romantically" done. I have so many idears but not sure which one I want to finalize. I am planning on redoing it after I attempt the bathroom. Wanna start small. Anyways, I like our living room. :-) We do have different furniture right now and still have a bit of the old too. I don't like to get rid of potentially good stuff LOL Ask my family *HaHa*
These are our fishtanks that are also in the "Nascar Room" I am hoping to redo them. I have let them go for quite sometime. The only fish I have in there are "convict" cychlids. I have several but looking at them, you really can't see them. Pics are pretty crappy but hopefully I will redo them soon. I wanted to redo them several times, redo meaning get different fish, but they kept having babies. I can deal with a few convicts but sheesh I can't deal with killing the babies and them lil suckers keep surviving. What do ya do LOL You raise them but honestly I have not been a very good fish mommy, but I figure I haven't flushed them and that's what most tell me to do. So you are welcome my lil fishies *HaHa*
This is our Kitchen. This would also be Duane's room. He loves this kitchen and I say its all yours baby! LOL! He don't cook meals to often, that would be my job. Baking, now that's a whole different story. He and Dad used to bake all the time together. Come up with there own lil recipes and such. Peanut Butter Brownies were there fav and everyone else's favorite as well. Duane don't bake as much as he used to but I can tell you I believe he bakes more then most men do. His baking slowed down after my Dad died but sometimes he bakes to feel close to him. His cookies are to die for. Whatever makes him happy and that seems to do the trick.
This is my new Kitchen table. I absolutely love it. I got it from my Mom for my birthday. I got the chairs at a garage sale. You will see the other table I used to have in some of the other pics that haven't been updated but this is what it looks like now. Slowly but surely I will have the hand me downs out and what I really like in. Just takes time and money, 2 things I don't always have alot of. I absolutely love black furniture. Which is so not the color for me, but it sure does make my eyeballs happy. It's hard work when you have pets and children but I love the way it looks. Duane prefers the outdoor look. Would love dead animals all over, but frankly, that's not me. I wouldn't mind a lil of it, but more then 1 dead head on the wall is more then I can live with. Someday when I get older maybe it will be my forte' but right now, ummm NO! LOL

This is my old kitchen table and my family room. My favorite room actually :-) This room at first was the room that had all the extra's in it. My mom got me the furniture. I have alot of plants and am not a huge outside person, esp in the summer. I don't do heat real well and so the plants bring a bit of the outside in for me. When I seen all the plants in our family room I thought about adding outdoor furniture and I really enjoy it. It gets plenty of sun and the furniture is so comfy. My son hates it, but I love it LOL I have since added a picture wall to the right side of the room. I love being able to see my family and friends pictures, I think it adds so much to our home.
This is my picture wall I redid in the family room. I finally got all my photo's together and enough frames to be able to complete it. I love it. I am going to eventually add a quote above the pics but have yet to decide on what I want it to say. Again, decorating in black *HaHa* Oh well, I like it and have gotten many compliment on it and that's all that matters. :-) I also moved furniture around a bit you can see. I took out Gram's desk for awhile and now will be adding it back in there. So this is what it looks like now, accept for the new kitchen table.
Oh boy, I can't wait til fireplace season comes. I just love the fireplace. I was scared to build the first one. I have never had one before and it was definetly not something I would of ever wanted. I can tell you now, I will forever have one in my home. Oh the smell is just delightful. The warmth is inviting but the pokin at it and hearing it pop is orgasmic *HaHa* We usually have a fire every night when the weather gets cool. I'm thinkin it's September, we need to be getting wood sooooon!
This is our new bed. I really like it. I don't much like how Duane made the bed but he made it that's what counts. My goal was to do our room purple. I have always wanted my room purple and never could do it. Now I can and I don't think I am going to. I just want it to be romantic LOL Whatever that means, I have yet to figure out how to accomplish my goal. One day I will. :-)
This is my temporary resting place. This where I come to relax. I am redoing an old desk I had and will eventually have it done and this one will be taken apart and I am hoping to use the wood to make Jr a place to climb and have fun. I have always wanted to buy one of those cat play things, house I don't know what you call it. They are way to expensive and figure I can make one myself. I have drawn up idears of what I want and so I think this may work. If not, it will be trash LOL Give us something to do. Both my boys have taken woodworking and are both very good at it. So if I can get them to understand what I am wanting to accomplish, they should be great help. Should be fun. Gotta get my ass moving on my desk to make this dream happen too. The list of to do's is growing each and everyday. I am a dreamer so I have lots of dreams. Some I make a reality and some stay in my head for a rainy day so to speak LOL
