"My Smiles"
This page is all about things that make me Smile. We all have things in our lives that no matter what mood we are in or what is happening in our lives, they just make you smile. So I decided to make a page of all the things that happen to make me smile. For whatever reason it may be or what feeling I get from something, if it makes me smile, it's a wonderful thing. Ducks
Ducks and Geese
I absolutely love this picture. I have a fascination with 'ducks', however, these are Canadian Geese. I had the background with the beautiful autumn colors, I added the ducks to the picture and I just thought it was perfect. My family will tell you that I talk about ducks all the time. I do not, however, where I live we get alot of canadian geese. I am fascinated by them. I work right next to a pond where ducks and geese enjoy. I love there waddle, I love the noises they make, how they swim and eat. They truly are a beautiful creature. I call them all ducks, my favorite is the 'mallard duck'. Beautiful colors. I see mostly canadian geese, I was coming home from work one day and had to stop and sit and watch. I seen rows of geese, lined perfectly, reminded me of military line up. Although, one duck must of been 'head goose' LOL He was walking and strutting along the front of them all lined up. There was probably 20+ at the time. He was quackin and extending his neck, as if he was speaking to the group. I sat totally content as I watched, parked along side of our road in our community. All of the sudden, the head goose, started walking over towards me. I was so excited, they were coming, all of them :-) I watched them follow, one by one, one line followed by the other, they walked across the road heading over to the pond. My feelings were that it was a Canadian Geese meeting, it was adjourned and it was time to take a dip. I came home and told Duane all about it. I felt so wonderful being able to see them. I look for them everyday. I sit at work and hear them fly over and I hear their calls and I smile each and everytime. So, that is why I love ducks and why they make me smile. I have tons of pics of them on my puter, but none worthy of putting up, they really turn out like poo!
Beauty comes as much from the mind as from the eye.
Babies
Babies
Babies make me smile. When you see a newborn baby you can't help but smile. I guess as a mother, your taken back to the day your child was born and the wonderful feelings that come over you, when you look at your child for the first time. Something you can never fully explain. It is something you have to live in order to truly appreciate. I think no matter who's child it is you just can't help but to smile. A baby's scent makes me smile as well. I have longed to smell that scent again. Duane cannot have no more children and I am just getting to old now LOL There was a time when we first got together that I truly hurt, that by loving Duane I give up any real chance of having another child. I imagined how wonderful it would be to go through that together. I went through mine with Jason mostly with my Mom. I am thankful for that, but I know Duane would of been a great person to share that with me. Maybe if only because our love is much deeper then I have ever had before. Anyways, when I hold a newborn, the first thing I miss is the smell. Oh, it's just wonderful. Then you have the laughter of a child. Nothing sounds better then a happy baby. There belly laughs send your smile through your whole body. Jason used to belly laugh and oh it was the most wonderful sound in the world not to mention the best feeling you could ever feel. I miss those days, not that he doesn't laugh now but it's certainly not the innocent belly laugh he used to have. So Babies and everything babies do make me smile. No matter what my mood, show me a baby and my mood changes.
I've never seen a smiling face that was not beautiful.
My Family Makes Me Smile Most!
My Family is what makes me Smile the most, they are what really matters when all is said and done. My favorite moments throughout my life have always been with a family member. I feel very fortunate about that and it gives me alot of faith in myself and life itself. Many people come and go, but your stuck with your family. I'm very happy about that! :-) If you can't get along with your family, do you really ever get along with anyone? My family has stood by me all my life. Through thick and thin the one thing I could always count on was my parents and my sister. Now that my family has grown, I can count on my son, Duane and Chris. Our family has gone through many changes, but the foundation of my family has always been very firm. We stick together no matter what, not always been easy, but it's a fight you never give up on, you fight for the family you love an no matter how hard things get, with your family you can never go wrong. I had a great upbringing and my memories of my family throughout the years has been what I hold on to the most. Always did I feel loved and secure in my families eyes. Not always did I do the right thing but I was always accepted for who I am. No greater feeling in the world then to have a family that supports you and encourages you to grow. My family is the most important thing in my life, without it, I am nothing. My biggest smiles come when I am sharing time with my family!!
