Escanaba Trip

Trip to Escanaba

My Aunt Diane and Uncle Bob (My Mom's Sister) were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. So we decided to make it a weekend to remember. Tina and I's boss Danny, let her take us up to his place in Shanty Creek, Mi. We stayed there Thursday-Saturday morning. We had a wonderful time. Shared many laughs. We had all had a couple of stressful weeks. Tina and Tom's job had them a bit stressed out and my family were dealing with our own home problems. We were dealing with Chris making some bad choices and had to put the 'smackdown' on things here. So we were all looking forward to a great relaxing weekend. We had just that, it was a wonderful weekend full of great fun. We laughed and relaxed all weekend. No stress at all. Everyone got along great, like always, we played games and cracked jokes. Just a wonderful time had by all. We then went to Escanaba, Mi on Saturday for my Aunt and Uncles surprise anniversary party. That was alot of fun. It was so great to see relatives I hadn't seen in years. Makes you feel really old LOL My cousins looked great and their children were beautiful. We had great fun, great food, tons of laughter. We danced a little, it was just great sharing those times again. Seems most of the time, relatives only get together when someone dies. This was a happy occasion and a very well deserved time away for all of us. My Aunt and  Uncle are still so in love, you can see it every time they look at eachother. 50 years of marriage doesn't happen as often as is should anymore, so it's a wonderful thing to see. We stayed at the party for awhile then headed back to our room for some more fun. We had banana splits and icecream and shared stories of years ago. It was a nice way to catch up. Duane, Chris, Tom and even Jason met many of our relatives for the first time. I was so excited about that, this is the first time Duane and I have shared this part of my life. Back in the day, when we got together for weddings and such, we always had a fantastic time. So, him meeting this side of the family was wonderful for me. It was nice for me to be able to 'show off' my family! :) We didn't party as hard as we used to, but of course we are all a bit older now! LOL We will have another wedding to go to next October and I am looking forward to that, Andy and Cheri's daughter will be getting married and it will surely be a wonderful time. The trip went great, we had alot of fun and have alot of great memories to share for years to come! You can see the pictures in my photo gallery of our amazing weekend away!! Enjoy! I sure did!

I live in a great community and we always do something for the holidays. This is our Halloween Party for the kids. It was great fun and I think everyone who attended had a great time. I know my family did and the people I know well had a great time. Enjoy the pics!

Day at the "Big House"

A dream come true... A Day at "The Big House" Duane and Tommy at the U of M football game.  Anyone who knows Duane will know how special this day was for him. It has been a dream of his since he has been very young. He is a huge Wolverine fan and finally his dream of making it to The Big House has come true...

Memorial Day Picnic

May 2007

This is Uncle Mike and Aunt Kristy - Duane's Family. We all got together for a picnic Memorial Day weekend. We had loads of fun and it was wonderful seeing them again. They don't live real close and we don't get to see one another that often. Was a fun day!

Tour Of My Home

This is a tour of my Home. I live in a manufactured home, aka "a trailer" I love my double wide *ha ha* A house is just a house, but a home consist of love laughter and family. This shelter's us from the cold and keeps us cool in the summer. It's affordable living and where I have made my living for the past several years. I think people judge to harshly, I being one of them years ago. " I will never live in a trailer and be known as trailer trash" Well, here I sit in my trailer as happy as I could be and I love my home and when I get ready to move again, be sure to know I will be looking for my next "trailer".
