Casino Getaway Casino Trip Day at the Farm
This is Kewadin Shores Casino in St. Ignace, Mi. My Mom, my Sister, my Aunt Bobbie and my Aunt Diane and myself. We went up north on a girls weekend. It's an annual trip but the first time for me. I was looking forward to it, I was also worried because this year wasn't just a 'girls weekend'. My Uncle had passed away. Which is my Mom's brother as well as my Aunt's brother. We had him cremated and spread his ashes at 'the farm' where he spent alot of his time. So it wasn't going to be all fun and games. It all turned out to be wonderful. You can read about it on my "Day at the Farm'' page. Anyways, we stayed at the casino hotel. It was very nice and convenient. No need to drive after you been gambling or drinking. Just an elevator ride and a walk down the hallway. Loved it. We had a great time, we laughed alot, lost our ass's but most importantly we had tons of fun!!
This is the view from our hotel room. It was beautiful, the water was just so blue. Made me smile every morning. Then I seen the ''ducks'' they are actually Canadian Geese. I know what they are called but forever call them ''ducks''. I zoomed in to show them. They just looked so cute. They were there most of the time I looked out the window of our room.

Ducks!! Oh they make me smile!! I could watch them all day long. Noone else seemed so excited to see them, but I love em. I have then where I live and I take pics of them alot. My family laughs but whatever, ducks are special creatures to me LOL

He sat there for the longest time, I had hoped to have something in the room to throw out the window for him to eat. No such luck, not one lil crumb of food. How the hell do 4 women go away and not have munchies. Apparently we do LOL

Heading Home from our casino trip after 3 nights. Dead tired and ready to get home to my family. I had a great time. Didn't run out of money before my time was up. Was worried about that. Did I mention I had tons of fun? LOL Was a wonderful weekend and will for sure look forward to next years. I can say my favorite times were spending time with all of us together, outside of the casino. The casino was really our something to do. When you go to a casino its hard to spend alot of time talking, or alot of time together. We did play together several times. In fact, one time we sat and watched Tina for a good 1 1/2 hours. She put in just under 4 bucks. Our last round then time to go. After all that time, she walked away with 30 bucks I believe. Was fun, we laughed our ass's off standing around watching and routing her on. Had alot of up's and downs with my games I chose. Tina did guide me off on a new adventure and introduced me to 3 reel slots. A bit more pricely then nickel machines, but I really started to enjoy it. I did win bigger, just not as often. Overall, I think I did better on those then I did on my normal story slots. Not sure what they call them. The ones with the bonus's and stories. My favorite one of them was called Tabasco Slots. Loved it! So did Mom. Aunt Bobbie and I played a game called Bonus Blazing 7's, another cool game on. I won 50 bucks on that one and played most of the night. Love when that happens. Never expect to get rich and don't frequent often, but enjoy the hell out of it when I go. We all kind of floated around and paired off and watched eachother throught the day into the night. Tina and I got a drink one night and ventured out into the lobby and sat and talked. Was nice to get out of the loudness, sit in a comfortable chair, have a relaxing cigarette and sip on the best long island ice tea I have had in a long time. Yummy! Expensive! Had they been cheap, I would of been drunk! So, Sis and I sat and talked. It was wonderful. I really enjoy talking to my sister. I always feel we have so much to catch up on. We got to talking about how much we missed our hunny's. I ached for Duane many times so far in my trip. We aren't apart often at all and we both prefer it that way. It didn't consume my time, but there were many times I wished it was him sitting next to me or smiling back at me when I get a win. Duane don't enjoy gambling to much. At the farm, I missed him being there the most but Tina felt the same way. She missed Tom too. They gamble together alot. It's always been something they did together, even back when they were just friends and coworkers. Tina and Tom used to buy scratch off's together at work and have a blast. So she missed Tom the most sitting in the casino. I am so happy that we finally both have this in common. Many times in my life I listened to her talk about her love for her ex and longed to have that closeness with my partner. Then she went through her divorce when I found my happiness with Duane. Now she has found someone who makes her happier then she has ever been and it's great to share that with her. The whole trip was wonderful. A time I hope to never forget. I am glad I went and I am so happy to have done the things we did while we were away.
