Bless Our Soldier's

Bless Our Soldier's

This page is dedicated to our troops. I have been wanting to do a page for our troops for way to long. Just never seem to have the time to gather information. They are in my thoughts each and everyday. I have received so many emails about our troops and supports. I always read them and saved so many, it's just getting them up. So with the holidays starting, it pushed me to at least get you some ways of supporting your troops during this holiday season. They need all the support we can give them. We will be spending our holidays with friends and family celebrating but they will still be fighting for our country. So let's not forget them!!

Christmas Cards     Thank You     My Opinion

Christmas Cards to our Soldier's

When doing your Christmas cards this year, take one card and send it to
this address.  If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of
how many cards these wonderful special people who have sacrificed so
much would get.

A Great Idea!!!  When you are making out your Christmas
card list this year, please include the following:

 A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue, NW Washington , D.C. 20307-5001

Xerox is helping us send our troops post cards to say thank you. It is FREE!!! Please click on the link below and in 3 easy steps you can help a soldier smile by sending him/her a thank you post card to show you care!! It's the small things we can do that make a difference!

Thank you

Have you ever seen a soldier and wanted to thank him/her and didn't?

I have, several times. Most of the time, I want to just run up to them and say thank you for all you have done for our country. Not wanting to impose on their time with fellow soldier's or their families, I stay away and give them their space. I always felt I was doing the right thing by staying away. However, there was always that part of me that wanted/needed them to know I care and that I appreciate what they do for all of us. I do not understand war and how soldier's can do what they do, but I do appreciate everyone of them for their heroics. By putting themselves in the line of fire for our freedom. So, if you are like me and want to thank our soldier's, this video may help you. Just a simple hand gesture that allows you to say thank you!!

Give Thanks to our soldier's

This is pretty  great! Have you ever seen one of our military walking past you and wanted to convey to them your thanks, but weren't sure how or it felt awkward?
Recently, a gentleman from Seattle created a gesture which could be used and has started a movement to get the word out.
Please everybody take just a moment to watch.... The Gratitude Campaign

My Opinion

My opinion is this war has gone on way to long. I will tell you. I know very little about this subject. Growing up, I never really had to worry about things like that, so I honestly didn't. I have never had a family that I knew was in a war. My uncle was in one, but it was never talked about, which puzzled me. I hear soldier's speak from past and present on t.v. or movies and they speak so highly about what they are doing and why they are doing it. The passion in that I feel and see, it's heartwarming, to be that passionate about anything is wonderful.  The belief they have in what they are doing it heroic in itself. Leaving family and friends to put your life in God's hands to protect this country, amazing to me. Yet, my uncle and a few other people I have met along my journey in life, never speak of the war. They never speak of their fears, things that happened, things they survived. What was once something very passionate always felt like turned into something to be ashamed about, so I never understood that part. It made me sad, made me confused, scared and unsure of the whole thing. All I do know for sure is that I think of them often and I admire each and everyone of them for what they chose to do for our country. I pray to God that what they are doing is for the right reasons, again an ignorance on my part. I have noone to help me understand what it really all means. I don't comprehend what I read alot of times, so not having any real knowledge or family/friends/internetbud's who have gone through it to help me make better judgement, I just want the troops home safe with their family and friends where they belong. Enjoying what they fought for, I don't understand why they are still their fighting for their lives and many not ever having that chance to come home. Seriously, it breaks my heart all the time. These are not just military men/women they are sons/daughters, husband/wifes, fathers/daughters and life here is hard and having them home would make so many peoples lives better just by having them here to help us here in our country! Give our troops their freedom back and let them come home! Sorry to have babbled!

Where were you...

If anyone has any other sites that support our troops, I would greatly appreciate you leaving a comment with the web address or even an email to me @ smiles2u@comcast.net . Together we can support our troops. I would be happy to give a link to your support page, so if you have one, contact me please! I know our hearts share the fact, they go out to our troops. They are in our thought's often and like you, I want them all home soon!
